Markus Rosen is a writer, musician and producer whose work moves between art, culture and the people who make it. His path has taken him through philosophy, poetry and publishing, music, film and theatre, and into cultural projects in Europe, New Zealand and China.

Along the way, he has worked with artists, thinkers, filmmakers, musicians and cultural practitioners, bringing people, philosophies and different forms of creative work together. Today, his work is increasingly centred around a simple but enduring question:

What does it mean to become who you are?

This concept is at the heart of Werden, wer man ist, an ongoing inquiry into identity, creativity, vocation and the paths we take through life to arrive at ourselves: Through conversations, writing and future projects, Markus is exploring the people behind the work.

Alongside Werden, he continues to work between page and stage, including his current endeavor LariScena, a residency program in the Pisan hills in Tuscany.
